Using photogrammetry, Camel Digital creates digital copies of real-world cultural and historical locations and items. These highly detailed Virtual and Augmented Reality replicas bring these Cultural Heritage sites and objects to life in the classroom, allowing learners to step in, interact and become actively engaged in their learning.
Children can explore locations and objects, learning facts and uncovering secrets as they go, with clear learning outcomes. Multiple versions of each Virtual and Augmented Reality learning experience support learning at numerous developmental stages.
Integrated with Scottish and English Curriculums
John, the founder of Camel Digital, qualified as a Primary School teacher at Edinburgh University and has gained diverse teaching experience worldwide. Using this knowledge and working closely with teachers in the classroom, every Virtual and Augmented Reality learning experience is tied to key learning outcomes in the curriculum. At the same time, detailed lesson plans allow teachers to support and scaffold learners in the classroom.
Work Experience in Software Development & Creative and Digital Media
Working with local schools, we provide work experiences opportunities, for S5 and S6 children, in software development and digital media. Specifically, we provide hands-on experience of photogrammetry through the various stages. These include scouting sites, planning images, photography, processing images and developing projects in Unreal Engine 5.
This work experience provides participants with valuable skills, easily transferable and highly desired in many job sectors and University applications.

Using a combination of different media, including photos, 360 photos, video and aerial shots from our drone, we can create a range of interactive experiences to suit any need.
Fully Customisable
We go beyond what is generally accepted for virtual tours. With fully custom menus and layouts, you can include just about anything on top of the 360 photos, video, links to product pages, documents and maps.
Instead of 360 degree photos you can have branching videos, a bit like a choose your own adventure, that seamlessly link together. This provides a completely different type of virtual experience.
Include a Spokesperson
Add a personal touch to your tour with an embedded ‘tour guide’. You can welcome people to your tour and show them different points of interest, all seamlessly integrated with the 360-degree photos, a whole new creative way to interact with your target audience.
You could even take it a step further and create a guided tour, a little bit like connecting to a Zoom meeting, but instead, you can guide them in real-time around the tour.
